For more than 40 years, Arlington Senior Law Day has focused on empowering older adults and persons with disabilities with information and knowledge about legal topics. The 2018 Senior Law Day will focus on Know the Basics: Powers of Attorney, Advance Directives and Estate Planning.
This annual event is coordinated by Arlington Aging and Disability Services Division, Arlington Commission on Aging, the Arlington County Bar Association, and community groups like Legal Services of Northern Virginia and the local AARP chapter.
The event is scheduled for Tuesday, May 1 from 9:30 – 12:30 at Department of Human Services, Lower Level. Following a keynote speaker, breakout sessions will occur and for those who may be interested, we will have an Advanced Directive Clinic – on site qualified advanced directive facilitators who will meet one-on-one with individuals who are interested in completing their Advance Directives.
