Arlington County VICAP is looking for Volunteer Medicare Counselors to provide assistance from a distance! Arlington County’s Virginia Insurance Counseling and Assistance Program (VICAP) provides Medicare counseling to Medicare-eligible Arlington residents, their family members and care partners. We provide the training and certification to become a Counselor. Perks include acquiring valuable skills, making a direct impact in someone’s life, developing new relationships, and decreasing social isolation.
If you’re interested in signing up, RSVP for this virtual volunteer training session which will be held on Microsoft Teams! VICAP will offer opportunities to shadow experienced Counselors in preparation for the busy Open Enrollment season October 15 – December 7. Further training details will be provided after the initial screening process.

Arlington County VICAP needs Volunteers with basic computer skills that are available during regular business hours and willing to commit a minimum of 8 hours per month. Volunteers must be 18 years of age or older, must complete an Arlington County Police background record check. VICAP Volunteers cannot be licensed insurance brokers.
